Timo Werner joins Tottenham Hotspur on loan
Tottenham have signed the RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner on loan until the end of the season.
The German attacker has been a surprise addition to Tottenham's summer transfer haul, having previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Werner has always been characterised as a divisive player, with some critics questioning his finishing ability. However, he has also shown his quality at times, scoring 23 goals in 45 appearances for RB Leipzig last season.
Werner is the fourth signing Tottenham have made this summer, following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is believed to be a big admirer of Werner, and he will be hoping that the German can help him improve the team's attacking options.
Werner is expected to make his debut for Tottenham in their pre-season friendly against Sevilla on Saturday.
